Welcome to 2012!!
2012 should prove to be not a only a very busy year for JC but also very productive one. Along with the release of his band........ Velvet City's debut album 'New World Order' this year, JC is busy recording his own stuff and other side projects. John 'JC' Caputo has also returned from the USA once again representing Soultone Cymbals at NAMM 2012. Watch this space for a complete overhaul of johncaputodrums.com through out this year. Exciting new features, a complete new layout, more updates and more ways to interact.

Hello out there, WOW it has been too long between updates. JC would like to thank everyone for thier continued support through out his journey thus far. Whilst it hasn't been a busy year touring it has been a very busy year behind the scenes. JC has been working very hard with his original band VELVET CITY. Velvet City are getting ready to launch their debut album 'New World Order' in the early months of 2012, this will be followed by touring first nationally and then of course internationally. 'New World Order' (NWO) was produced by American grammy award winnng producer Brandon Mashburn and will be released world wide. JC would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and would like to thank everyone all over the world for their continued support of John Caputo Drums!! 2011 is shaping up to be a very busy year for JC with lots of gigs, tours and maybe even some TV appearances on the horizon. John 'JC' Caputo has just completed what has been 3 full on months of intense travelling and touring. Touring with The Australian Bee Gee Show proved to be an amazing experience on so many different levels for so many different reasons. The different countries and cities that were visited, the different venues and crowds, the different cultures and climates that were experienced and the fun that was had on what was a very productive and enjoyable tour.
JC started the tour in Columbo, Sri Lanka and then found himself in Australia up north in Cairns. Then he and The Australian Bee Gee Show travelled half way across the world to America and played in 8 different states to capacity crowds in state of the art theatres, mainly on the east coast of America. JC Visited the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Iowa, Maryland, Rhode Island and ending the tour in New York playing at the famous Erie County Fair in Hamburg! The show itself was amazing - full of lights, video footage of past tours, live feeds, exciting song arrangements and the odd comical skit. A show highlighted by the musicianship displayed on stage that continuously 'WOWED' audiences from all over the country, many who had travelled just to see The Australian tribute to a legendary band!!

BACK FROM THE TOURS TO SRI LANKA & CAIRNS WITH THE AUSTRALIAN BEE GEE SHOW!!

JC has just returned from the tours to Sri Lanka and Cairns. In Sri Lanka he performed an outdoor concert for the Colombo Swimming Club, on a very hot and humid night the concert was well received with a crowd of approx 1200 singing the words of all the Bee Gee classics, it was an amazing experience. In Cairns JC performed 5 shows with The Australian Bee Gee Show. The weather was a lot nicer than that of the cold weather in Melbourne. The gigs were great with big crowds at all the shows!

JC has just been given word that he will be touring nationally and internationally with 'The Australian Bee Gees show' in the coming months. The tour consists of trips to Sri Lanka, Cairns and possibly Brazil with other dates yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for official tour dates and details.

After having just signed in January with American cymbal label Soultone cymbals and becoming the first Australian to be signed to them, JC is very proud to announce that he has just recently signed with DrumCraft drums & Pro-Mark drumsticks. It is clear that it has been a very busy and producitve start to 2010 for JC and he looks forward to establishing long and prosperous friendships with all the new companies. Well it has been a big week and NAMM 2010 has now finished. What an amazing and awesome experience it was. Four days jam packed with networking and hanging out with some of the most influential musicians in the world, definitely an experience that won't be forgotten in a hurry. Just a quick update to give everyone an idea of what is going on at the moment. I will be leaving for Los Angeles, CA next week as I have been invited to and will be attending this year's NAMM Show, 2010!!! I will keep you posted with all upcoming events in the near future, speak soon.
